Ricky's sister Kira came out to visit before she left on her mission. We had so much fun. We took her to the county fair which of course included a demolition derby! We also went to a baseball game and just hung out and played games and watched movies. It was so fun to see her one more time before she left!
We put the kids in swimming lessons this summer. Kambry took them last year, but it was really hard for her. This year I signed Kambry and Dax up for two sessions. Kambry had a hard time at first, but eventually warmed up to the water. Dax was a fish as soon as his toes hit the water. He may be a little too comfortable in the water.
While we were there a pediatric life-flight helicopter landed on the grounds. They were coming for the conference as well and since no one was in the helicopter we spent some time hanging out with the helicopter.
We also had Aunt Jamie come up with the kids. It was so fun to hang out with them. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures. We did go swimming though and the kids (especially Jace) loved the water slide!
We also met up with our good friends the Miller's and rented a house by Indian Lake for a few days. It was so nice and relaxing! The kids loved being together again. We played in the water, played games, roasted smores (which was kind of crazy, because it was so hot!) and the girls practiced riding bikes without training wheels. The last day instead of just heading home, we decided to rent a boat. It was so much fun. We had such a fun day on the lake!
August was a busy month for birthdays. We celebrated Kambry's
6th birthday and also my 28th (yikes) birthday!

6th birthday and also my 28th (yikes) birthday!
Kambry started first grade. She absolutely loves it. She spends every morning at school reading with the second graders! She sure is a smarty pants!
The boys love going to the bus stop every morning with her!
We also celebrated Daxton's 4th Birthday. I can't believe how big he is getting.
Kambry started off the school year with a loose tooth. She was really excited when it got loose enough for daddy to pop it out!

At the beginning of September Ricky reseeded the lawn. Hopefully next year our lawn will look a little better.

On September 4th I ran my second half marathon...finishing 4 minutes earlier than my last one. It felt so good to meet the goals that I had set for myself. I couldn't have done it without these awesome ladies. I sure love them! Thanks for all the encouragement!
