Utah again...

So, two weeks after I got home from our Utah-Christmas trip, and had gotten back to regular life, I got a call from my mom saying that my grandma wasn't going to make it through the day. Grandma had been in and out of the hospital and was living in an Assisted Living center to hopefully regain her strength and get back to her condo. Unfortunately after I left, she took a turn for the worse.
I got of the phone with my mom and called my grandma. It was so hard to hear her like that. Her breathing was so labored. But it was so nice to talk to her. It was the last time I got to talk to her. She passed away just after 9:00pm.
The amazing thing, is that she got to talk to everyone (all her kids & grandkids) before she died. My dad said that she was very peaceful and ready to go. Although it was so hard to say goodbye to her, it made me so happy that she would get to see Grandpa again.
I am so thankful that I was able to go home for Christmas this year. I would have regretted not going forever! I was able to see her again and spend time with her, before she passed away. I am so glad that the kids got to see her and that she could meet little Jace!
I am thankful for the time that I had with my sweet grandma. She was ALWAYS such a wonderful example to me. She was was always so in tune with the spirit and always seemed to know when we were struggling and needed a little help. She loved everyone and served everyone. I hope that I can be a better person and become even half of who she was.
I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have of life after our time here on earth. I can't wait to see her again. Love you Grandma! You will be missed.

Hey! I found you! Cute blog, I just realized just how much Kambry looks exactly like you and Daxton looks like your husband and Jace is somewhere in the middle.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm happy that you were able to share that time with your Grandma.

I also wanted to say that I cannot believe how big Jace is getting!
